COMMUNITY INVESTMENT PROGRAM

YWCA Tulsa wants all people, regardless of financial capacity, to be able to participate in YWCA health & wellness programming and achieve their personal fitness goals.

Our Community Investment program allows members experiencing financial hardship to apply for a sliding scale member discount based on family size and financial need.

Each member has a story that shows exactly why we created the community investment program.

One member is a single mom raising 2 teens on her own. She had only been with us for a few months, but we noticed that her monthly payments were falling behind.

When we talked with her, we found out that had lost her job, and was on unemployment. We knew that we could improve her situation and support her health and fitness goals and asked if she would like to apply for the Community Investment Program.

With the support of the Community Investment program, she is a steadfast member to this day.

How you can help

The Grace and Franklin Bernsen Foundation will match each gift received from our members 1:1, effectively doubling your impact. Our goal is to raise $25,000 from our community to support this program.

A gift of $65 will help a single-parent family gain access to our fitness centers and drop-in childcare for a month.

A $100 gift covers the cost of two senior monthly memberships and gives them access to YWCA arthritis aquatics programming.

Consider a gift of $300 to provide monthly memberships to four families in our community.

With the Bernsen Foundation match, this effectively means your gift’s impact will double.
