YWCA believes that all students, despite educational background or languages spoken, deserve an excellent education that values their identity and holds them to high academic expectations. We work to empower our culturally and linguistically diverse students to fully engage in class free from barriers in pursuit of their hopes and goals. To achieve this, we provide, among other services:
- after-school tutoring and mentorship for middle and high school aged students,
- in-school student support that is individualized and aligned to the needs of each student we support,
- group and individualized training, professional development and mentoring of staff,
- development of training material tailored to the needs of individual school districts, schools and teachers.
