Chief Executive Officer

YWCA Tulsa is dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women, and promoting peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all. YWCA Tulsa works towards accomplishing this mission locally by advocating for all Tulsans to succeed through wellness, wealth, and education initiatives. This $2.5 million organization operates three locations throughout Tulsa, assisting thousands of residents each year. Having successfully served YWCA Tulsa for seven years, current CEO Felicia Collins Correia is retiring in 2014.

YWCA Tulsa is seeking a driven and sophisticated Chief Executive Officer to lead the organization into a new chapter of success; increasing impact, awareness, and overall support. The CEO will play an important role ensuring success in the areas of resource generation, management, finance, and public relations. S/he will develop goals and strategies that will lead to YWCA Tulsa's continued growth in programs and financial support, ensuring YWCA Tulsa's long-term sustainability. This individual will be responsible for leveraging YWCA staff and networks to ensure that the organization is a cohesive, high-performing operation. S/he will report to the Board of Directors and will be located in Tulsa, OK.

Ideal Experience

The CEO must have a minimum of 10 years of successful operational, fundraising, and senior management experience within dynamic non-profit/philanthropic organizations. S/he must have a strong background as an executive leader with experience motivating staff, developing strategies to support growth, and maintaining strong relationships internally and externally. The successful candidate will display a strong sense of sophistication and will have demonstrated success in thinking creatively to capture ideas that can be developed into successful marketing, fundraising, and/or programmatic initiatives.

ELL Instructor

If you are an educator looking to make a difference in adult education for Tulsa’s immigrant community, the YWCA Tulsa may be the place for you! We are seeking a dedicated full-time instructor to teach adult ELL students across various areas of curriculum. Candidate must have current Oklahoma Teacher Certification and TESL credentials with a desire to help immigrants and refugees learn English and move toward higher levels of education. Swim Instructors (PT)

Come be a part of the YWCA Tulsa team as a part-time swim instructor.  Red Cross Water Safety Instructor certification required; bilingual in Spanish preferred.

Lifeguards (PT)

YWCA Tulsa is looking for dedicated, indoor, part-time lifeguards at its two locations!  Flexible schedules with the potential to work 10 to 20+ hours a week--afternoon and evening shifts available.  Gym membership included. Pay based on experience.  American Red Cross Lifeguard certification required; WSI certification and bilingual in Spanish a plus.

Internships

Mission Impact Intern

YWCA Tulsa's Mission Impact department is seeking undergraduate or graduate students for an unpaid summer internship. Students will work 25-40 hours per week, based on availability, at the YWCA Downtown Center. This internship will involve research and analysis in the areas of racial justice and economic empowerment, as well as some project management and meeting and event coordination.

We are looking for highly-motivated students with strong writing and research skills; a sharp analysis of race, gender, and identity; and a demonstrated interest in social justice. The ideal candidate has a deep commitment to personal growth and learning and is highly curious and inquisitive about new subjects.

Students should have completed at least four semesters of course work. The internship will primarily be office-based but could include occasional attendance at meetings in Tulsa or Oklahoma City. We are happy to cooperate with an institution's requirements for academic credit.
