Sterling Ramsey

Sterling is a native of the Tulsa region where he graduated high school and later attended college at Oklahoma State University. His career began working with troubled youths at the Lloyd E. Rader Center. He later moved into logistics and operations. He worked for companies like Interstate Brands Corporation, FedEx and Lone Star Overnight. He spent over 25 years in operations in the for-profit sector. He began his nonprofit work by becoming the Executive Director of the W.L. Hutcherson Family YMCA. While there he established relationships with several community partners and worked to aid and services for children and families located in underserved neighborhoods.  

His energy and drive are fueled by his desire to have an impact on all individuals that he encounters. He has received The Humanitarian Award along with Entrepreneur of the Year Award during his tenure with FedEx. He is a member of the fraternal organization Pi Kappa Alpha and serves as a member of the Community Advisory Council which supports the OU Health Physicians Clinic. Sterling also is the Vice President of Basketball for the Greater Tulsa Officials Association.

When he is not working, Sterling enjoys spending time with his wife Rue and their four children. Some of his interests are playing golf, listening to jazz and coaching youth sports.
