5 Steps to Enroll in ESL Classes
Schedule Test
Before you can enroll in classes, students must take the Comprehensive Adult Student Assessment Systems (CASAS) test. Your score helps us recommend the best class for your English level.
Schedule your test in June or November by calling 918.663.0377 or emailing reception@ywcatulsa.org.
Take Test
On the day of your CASAS exam, you will meet at YWCA Tulsa East Community Center to be tested on your English skills - reading and listening. The test usually takes 2-3 hours to complete.
You cannot fail this test. Your score helps us place you in the ESL class that is the best fit for you.
Enroll & Pay
After your test, a student services staff member will meet with the you and explain which class meets your needs the best.
The cost is $50 for the full four-month class.
To sign up, you must pay on the day of your CASAS test or the next day. Taking the test does not mean you are registered for a class. Your spot is only saved after payment is made.
Get Class Materials
You will receive two books and access to the Burlington English website. With Burlington English, you can:
Study anytime with 24/7 access to the online portal.
Practice speaking and get instant pronunciation feedback.
