Housing Services
YWCA Housing Services helps people experiencing homelessness move into safe, stable housing and build a foundation for what comes next.
Through trauma-informed, client-centered support, we help each person overcome barriers, build independence and create a future on their own terms. Our approach is simple: housing comes first. We believe everyone deserves a safe place to call home without having to first prove employment, sobriety or stability. Because when housing is secure, healing, growth and lasting change can begin.
Services Offered
Housing is the beginning, not the finish line.
Finding housing is just the beginning. Once a client has a safe place to call home, our team continues to provide personalized support focused on stability, independence and long-term success. Together, we create a housing stabilization plan built around each person’s unique strengths, goals and needs. With these services, we help them stay housed and move confidently toward the future they envision.

Safe Move Tulsa: From the Streets to Stability
Through Safe Move Tulsa, YWCA Tulsa proudly partners with the City of Tulsa and Housing Solutions to create real, lasting pathways out of homelessness. This citywide initiative connects people living on the streets and in encampments with safe, stable housing and the support they need to move forward.
Housing Solutions leads outreach, housing placement and rental assistance. Once someone is housed, YWCA Tulsa helps turn that new address into long-term stability. Our team provides ongoing case management and personalized support to help clients overcome barriers, build independence and remain securely housed.
“At YWCA Tulsa, we see every day how powerful coordination can be. Safe Move Tulsa creates clear pathways for people to move from homelessness to housing and safety. With the city and community partners working together, we meet immediate needs while also building long-term housing solutions for Tulsa.”

"For the first time in a long time, I have a place where I feel safe. My caseworker believes in me before I believe in myself. Having someone walk beside me makes all the difference."

A Team Built on Lived Experience
YWCA Housing Caseworker Jaqualyn shares her experience being unhoused and how she uses her own story of hope to ensure fewer people are sleeping on the streets.
Our Housing Team brings more than expertise. We bring understanding.
Many team members know firsthand what it means to face displacement, rebuild life in a new country, survive domestic violence or experience homelessness. Others bring experience in legal services, workforce development, education, healthcare and advocacy.
Together, these perspectives help us build genuine connections rooted in empathy, trust and respect. We meet each person where they are, recognize the strengths they already carry and create a space where every client feels valued.
"Housing changes lives, but relationships create lasting stability. Every day we have the opportunity to earn someone's trust, celebrate their progress and remind them that they are capable of building the future they want."
