If there are any important details about the appointment or event that the interpreter should know in advance, you're welcome to contact them directly.

Yes. If you have a preference for a specific interpreter or would like an interpreter of a particular gender or other characteristic for cultural, religious, or personal reasons, you can include your request on the Interpretation Request Form.

While individuals can use walk-in services without a contract, organizations require a signed annual service agreement and a current W-9.

YWCA Tulsa provides interpretation services throughout Tulsa, across Oklahoma and in surrounding states. We have successfully staffed assignments as far away as Dallas, Texas and Kansas City, Missouri. Travel availability depends on the individual interpreter.

Travel is billed at the current IRS mileage reimbursement rate for round-trip travel. For assignments that require extended travel or an overnight stay, additional costs such as lodging and meals may apply.

Any travel-related fees will be discussed with you and approved before your interpreter is confirmed.

Billing begins at scheduled or actual start time and ends at completion

• In-person Interpretation: $100/hour (1-hour minimum)

• Phone Interpretation: Starting at $1.67/minute

• Video Interpretation: Hourly rate is equivalent to in-person services $100/hour (1-hour minimum)

For on-site service, mileage is billed at IRS rate of $0.725/mile (2026 standard rate) which will be round-trip from the interpreter’s home location.

If a scheduled appointment is missed without notice, a one-hour minimum service fee will apply. Any expenses already incurred by the interpreter, such as mileage, will also be billed.
